Averaged Switch Modeling of Boundary Conduction Mode Dc-to-Dc Converters

ثبت نشده
چکیده

Averaged switch approach is extended to the modeling of boundary conduction mode (BCM) dc-to-dc converters that operate at the boundary between continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). BCM dc-to-dc converters have smaller inductor size and reduced switching losses compared to CCM, and lower peak current compared to DCM. The large-signal BCM averaged switch model shows that several BCM converters with input voltage feedforward exhibit resistive or nearly resistive input characteristic, which is well suited for realization of power factor correctors. It is shown that BCM converters exhibit simpler dynamics compared to CCM current programmed control (CPM). Small-signal frequency responses predicted by the averaged switch model are verified by simulation and experiments.

Analysis of New Transformerless dc-dc Converter With High Voltage Gain

In some industries applications such as fuel cells, we must use a high voltage gain dc-dc converters for increasing voltage, but, the conventional converters cannot provide the high voltage gain with increasing duty cycle and the converters efficiency is limited by the equivalent series resistances. For this reason, in this paper, a single switch transformerless high step-up dc-dc converter wit...

ارائۀ یک مبدل غیر ایزولۀ DC-DC با ضریب افزایندگی بالا برای کاربرد در انرژی خورشیدی

In this paper, a new non-isolated transformerless high step up Dc-Dc converter with low voltage stress on the active switch for solar energy application is proposed. The converter topology is simple, which makes the control scheme simple. In this converter, only one active switch is used which makes reducing the switching power loss. The voltage gain of the proposed converter is higher than the...

Software Makes Transfer Functions

S mall-signal analysis of switching dc-dc converters determines their specific transfer functions, for example, for stability analysis or design of a proper input filter. Transfer functions of interest for switching dc-dc converters are input impedance , output impedance, duty cycle (or control voltage) to output voltage, and input voltage to output voltage. Two pieces of literature about accom...

Advances in Averaged Switch Modeling

The averaged switch modeling technique unifies the modeling of PWM and resonant dc-dc converters, low-harmonic rectifiers, and inverters in a simple manner. This technique is briefly reviewed, and recent results in modeling current-programmed dc-dc converters, integrated single-phase low-harmonic rectifier-regulators, and single-switch three-phase lowharmonic rectifiers are described. A circuit...

Asymmetrical Interleaved DC/DC Switching Converters for Photovoltaic and Fuel Cell Applications—Part 2: Control-Oriented Models

A previous article has presented the members of the asymmetrical interleaved dc/dc switching converters family as very appropriate candidates to interface between photovoltaic or fuel cell generators and their loads because of their reduced ripple and increased current processing capabilities. After a review of the main modeling methods suitable for high-order converters operating, as the asymm...
